Tonna Onyendu

Tonna Onyendu represents on-camera talent, writers, directors, producers and production companies in the areas of television, film and new media. Tonna joined the firm in 2024 after several years as a corporate attorney at Kirkland and Ellis LLP in New York City and Los Angeles where he represented private equity sponsors in cutting-edge M&A transactions and related corporate matters.

 

Tonna is a proud native of South Central Los Angeles.  Prior to practicing law, Tonna worked in and around local politics, starting off as a community organizer at Community Coalition, an organization founded by Los Angeles’ current mayor, Karen Bass, and later in multiple capacities in the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office during Eric Garcetti’s tenure as mayor.  During his free time, Tonna enjoys weightlifting, boxing and spending time with his wife and two children.
