Effective date: 9-2-2026
This policy describes how information is handled when you visit hjth.com. It does not apply to information you provide to the firm by email, telephone, or in the course of an attorney-client relationship, which is governed by our professional and ethical obligations and by any applicable engagement agreement.
2. We do not ask you for personal information
This website is informational only. It has no contact forms, no email or newsletter signup, no user accounts or logins, no search function, and no chat feature. There is no way to submit personal information to us through this site, and we do not request any.
3. Information received automatically
As with any website, the servers and service providers that deliver hjth.com necessarily receive certain technical information when your browser requests a page. This includes your IP address, browser type and language, device and operating system type, the page you requested, and the page you came from. Our website platform also generates a randomly assigned visitor identifier for its own performance and diagnostic reporting.
We use this information only to deliver, secure, and maintain the website. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not attempt to identify you from it.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising, marketing, or behavioral tracking cookies. We do not run analytics or advertising tags on this site — there is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, and no session-recording or session-replay software.
The technologies that are present fall into two categories:
-
Strictly necessary. Our website platform sets a small number of cookies required to serve the site, including for session management, security, and load balancing. These cannot be disabled without breaking the website.
-
Accessibility. Our accessibility widget stores an identifier and your selected accessibility settings in your browser's local storage, so that your preferences persist between visits.
You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not prevent you from reading this site.
5. Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to host and operate the site. Each receives the technical information described in Section 4 in the ordinary course of doing so:
-
Wix – Website hosting and content platform. Receives request data and collects performance and diagnostic telemetry associated with a randomly assigned visitor identifier.
-
UserWay – Accessibility widget. Loads from the vendor's servers on each page and stores an identifier in your browser, as described in Section 4.
-
Sentry– Error and performance monitoring used by our website platform to detect and diagnose site faults.
We do not authorize any of these providers to use information collected from this site for advertising or for their own marketing purposes. Each maintains its own privacy policy governing its practices.
6. We do not sell or share personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information through this website. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months.
7. Your rights under California law
California residents have the following rights with respect to personal information. Because this site collects so little, a request may well return nothing — but the rights apply regardless, and we will respond to every request we receive.
-
Right to know. Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purpose, and any third parties to whom it was disclosed.
-
Right to delete. Request deletion of personal information we have collected about you.
-
Right to correct. Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
-
Right to opt out of sale or sharing. As stated in Section 6, we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
-
Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
-
To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 10. We may need to ask for information sufficient to verify your identity, or to confirm that an authorized agent is acting on your behalf, before we can respond.
8. Retention
We do not maintain a database of website visitors. Technical logs held by our service providers are retained according to their standard retention schedules and are used only for site delivery, security, and diagnostics.
9. Children
This website is directed to a general professional audience and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of sixteen.
